Jarrod Fairclough – Many of us Muppet fans agree that Frank Oz’s Muppet Guys Talking documentary was a massive treat. We wanted more! And now the Muppet gods have bestowed a special treat to us in these trying times.
This Saturday marks the 30th anniversary of Jim Henson’s death. Yes, it’s a sad date in the Muppet world, and so his friends are getting together to reminisce and talk a little about Jim, his work, and his legacy. Virtually, of course.
At 4pm ET, Frank Oz, Dave Goelz, Fran Brill and Bill Barretta will be doing a live Q&A – and you can watch it totally free! Just register for the stream by clicking here. And if you’re unable to watch it live, then you’ll be able to watch a replay – BUT you need to be registered first. So – what are you waiting for? GO!
You can read the full announcement from Frank and his wife/producer Victoria Labalme below:
It’s Victoria and Frank Oz from Muppet Guys Talking.
It’s been a while.
We hope you’re as well as you possibly can be given these times.
We’re inviting you to a Special Online Event — this Sat May 16 @ 4pm ET.
Fran Brill, Dave Goelz, Bill Barretta and Frank Oz are going to do a livestream Q&A session in honor of Jim Henson who passed away on May 16, 1990 — 30 years ago. They will be sharing insights and memories of Jim.
We’re making this event FREE to lift people’s spirits in this difficult time — and we will ALSO include a way for you to donate to a Covid-related cause which supports the frontline workers battling the virus.
You can register for your livestream spot here: http://www.MuppetGuysTalking.com/jim
The event is open to everyone who registers, so feel free to forward this invitation to family and friends.
See you Saturday, May 16 @ 4:00pm ET!
Frank, Victoria, and The Team
P.S. We will have a replay for anyone who registers for the livestream whether they can attend it or not.
