Sesame Street Wins An Emmy!
Sesame Street has won its 4 billionth Emmy for their primetime special The Magical Wand Chase at last week’s Creative Art Emmy Awards. The award was for Outstanding Children’s Program, and is their 11th Primetime Emmy ever. Of course, they have warehouses full of Daytime Emmys, so it’s nice to see another Primetime one for the shelf.
Cookie Monster’s Documentary Appearance
Our best friend Cookie Monster is appearing in No Small Matter, a documentary on early childhood learning. You can watch the trailer above, which includes a literal mic drop moment. For more information, be sure to follow the films Facebook and Twitter, as well their official site. Then click right here to go to ToughPigs, who have made a gif of the trailer’s now iconic mic drop. (We’ve decided it’s iconic now).
Tickle Me Elmo Needs You
Remember Tickle Me Elmo, the small toy that took over the world and potentially saved Sesame Street? Well, that annoying but adorable piece of merch is now being considered for the National Toy Hall of Fame, but it’s not that simple. You see, the only way Tickle Me Elmo is making it in is with your votes! He’s got some stiff competition because only 3 are being inducted, with American Girl Dolls, the Magic 8 Ball and UNO also up for nomination. You can click here to vote, which opens today and runs until November 8th.
