Muppet Newsflash

Jarrod Fairclough – Fan Week always means we’re gonna miss reporting on SOMETHING happening, and last week was no exception.  Take a look below as we report on the news of the past week.

Rudy Comes To Sesame Street
Sesame Street have introduced Rudy, a new monster who happens to be the step brother of fairy-in-training Abby Cadabby!  Rudy is around to show kids that families can come in all different shapes and sizes, and Muppet performer Frankie Cordero does a great job bringing him to life.  He made his first appearance on the show this past weekend, and he made a hilarious guest appearance on The Tonight Show, which you can see below.  Here’s looking forward to more Rudy!

Sesame Street Play Car Games
While we’re on the subject of the Street, Sesame Street continued their partnership with Chrysler in 3 all new videos starring some of our favorite pals.  Watch below as Guy Smiley joins Cookie Monster, Elmo, Ernie, Bert and more to play I Spy and other fun games like that.  I know some people aren’t too thrilled with Sesame characters being used to sell cars, but you have to admit – these videos are pretty good.  PS – How great is Peter Linz’s Ernie?

Miss Piggy Pitches For Disney
That porcine princess Miss Piggy appeared in a video for Disney, which encourages children to get out and make the world healthier, greener, and stronger.  In a parody of Shark Tank, Piggy suggests a clothes drive (all hers are so last year) to Mark Cuban.  Take a look!

The Muppets Celebrate WE Day
The Muppets are all about WE Day, which celebrates young people making a difference in the world.  In a series of videos, Piggy, Animal and The Swedish Chef hang out with Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato and Lilly Singh.  They’re short but sweet.  Plus, you know… Demi Lovato.
