A Tribute to Muppet Fan Chase Beecher

Yesterday the Muppet fan community suffered a deep loss in the passing away of Chase Beecher.  Chase was a force to be reckoned with.  He was loud, and proud, and fun, and funny, silly and sweet.  It’s so heartwarming to see his Facebook wall flooded with messages from everyone saying the same thing – Though we may not have known Chase in person, we all felt like we were real friends, because that’s just the way he was.  He took the time to get to know everyone in this community that he could.  He was insanely helpful with both this website, ToughPigs and The Mickey Mindset, and he contributed so much great quality stuff, that we thought it was only right that we stop and look back on some of his best.  But first, here’s a great video of Chase with Elmo and Kevin Clash, laughing and joking. From just this clip you can see how great a guy Chase was.

  1. Chase and I did many plays and shoot outs together in our little town of Malad Idaho. I can tell you that he is going to be missed!! He was such a good kid and just wanted to make people laugh. I was in shock when I learned of his death as was the whole town of Malad. He was in the play “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” which I co directed. He played the butler. All I can say is, you had to be there!! Do Chase a favor if you were his friend and just go do something special for someone to make their day better, because that’s what Chase did!!
